Philly is known for being the origin of the famous Cheese Steak sandwich. The roast pork from Tommy Dinic's and the pies from Pizzeria Beddia are local favorites, but the cheese steak reigns supreme with crowds of people wanting a real Philly Cheese.
Geno's Steaks
-Geno's Steaks sits right across the street from the inventor of the cheesesteak. Some tourists simply choose the shorter line in many occasions knowing they are getting the best of the best either way.
-Geno's is known for the thinly sliced rib eye steak they use in their sandwiches with cheese whiz that many people get their fries doused in.
-You can get just about any of Geno's sandwiches for under $10.50 and the standard cheesesteak for $9.25.

Pat's King of Steaks
-Pat's is known being the inventor of the cheesesteak sandwich all the way back in 1933. The founder, Pat Olivieri, made himself one of the signature meals for lunch on his hot dog stand grill and shared it with one of his regular customers.
-Pat's menu runs right at about the same prices as Geno's Steaks.

Jim's Steaks South St.
Pizzeria Beddia
-Jim's is the Philly Cheese spot you want to make a stop at if you're all about a great experience. South Street is loaded with fun shops, music, and is often flooded with waves of people. After you start to get hungry from walking the strip, Jim's lets you watch your sandwich get grilled up and put together through a glass window. The loads of meat and paint bucket full of cheese wiz definitely make the experience at Jim's unique.
-Jim's is best known for their cheesesteak layered with cheese wiz but actually offers a list of other hoagies for those interested.
-The prices at Jim's are slightly lower than its competitors, ranging from $8 to $9.75.
-Pizzeria Beddia of Fishtown is nationally recognized as one of the best pizzerias and was previously voted the 4th best new restaurant by Esquire. Time Magazine rated it as a top 19 restaurant in the US and among the best 100 spots in the world. Behind the delicious creations is Joe Beddia, creator of Pizza Camp, and believer in the basics of dough, sauce, and cheese. The craze for Joe's pies is real and drew enough attention to even warrant a pop-up night in New York. Beddia also came up with the clever idea of a hoagie room where private parties can enjoy a curated tasting of the best sandwiches, wines, and other creations chosen by his original partner, John Walker.
-Pizzeria Beddia's most ordered items are it's tomato pie and angry pizza.
-The price of the cheapest 16' pie is $18. To rent the Hoagie Room for a part of 6 each person would have to pay around $75 before tax, tips, and additional alcohol.
